Systems Used: TCW-250 glazing system for segmented curtain wall, storefront, and punched openings
Products Used: Viracon’s 9/16” heat strengthened, laminated Blue Azuria glass with high performance reflective coating on #2 surface
The Boca Village Corporate Centre is the first "green" LEED-certified office building in Boca Raton. The design also called for vertical butt glazing, radiused curtain walls, custom face caps, and an impact rated glazing system. Utilizing our TCW-250 glazing system, with high performance glass, we were able to meet all of the owners’ requirements. Our custom impact glazing system allowed us to provide uniformity to the curtainwall, storefront, and punched opening mullions, as all three systems have the same profile. Trainor Glass custom extruded face caps were utilized to give the design firm their intended look on the exterior, in conjunction with vertical butt glazing. The installation of the segmented walls was particularly challenging, a great deal of upfront layout by both installers and project management, working closely with the general contractor and structural subcontractors was the key to success.
