Trainor Glass was up to the test on this bold curtain wall design by Koo and Associates LTD. The yellow laminated lightning bolt running through the middle of the curtain wall presented several challenges as the geometry is constantly changing while undulating on an X, Y, and Z axis. The Trainor Glass project team collaborated with CDC out of Dallas, Texas to come up with a solution that was aesthetically pleasing to the owner and architect while providing a weather-tight system that can withstand the harsh Chicago weather.
