The Tempe Gateway project consisted of 45,000 SF of full skin unitized curtain wall, 19,000 SF of punched unitized wall, and 9,500 SF of punched window wall. To complete this project Trainor Glass developed 15 custom dies for our glazing systems. These new dies were for the addition of a 160˚ corner, 105˚ corner, and the incorporation of custom manufactured metal panels for the spandrel areas. Due to schedule constraints we were asked by the general contractor if we could install 21,000 square feet of unitized wall on the east side of the building in 4 weeks. It took participation and coordination from all project team members, but we were able to exceed the general contractors request and completed the installation of 21,000 SF of unitized wall in 3 weeks.
